October 30 Field Study
Field Notes Date & Time - October 30 @ 5:11 pm Climate Conditions - Slightly cloudy Temperature - 61° Length of day - 10:23 Organisms heard & seen - I heard birds chirping, and crickets. I saw a few birds come from the woods to the bird feeder. There was a chipmunk that ran across the grass in front of me. Changes from last time - The leaves have changed even more. Some of them have fallen, some of them have changed colors. Soon enough, there won’t be many leaves left at all. Leaf Study The leaves have obviously changed now. The percentage of green is much lower than it has been in my previous field studies. I know that the percentage of green will only continue to drop. Here is the grid including my pictures of north, south, east, and west, with the grid I used to measure the percentage of green on them. As you can see, there is much less green this time around.
